Close the Gap CA is a Palo Alto based organization working to recruit accomplished, progressive women to run for California legislature in 2016.  If you’d like to volunteer in their office to help with event production, fundraising, writing and editing, look for details in this flyer: Volunteer!

Currently, only 26% of state senators and assembly members are women, with many of our women legislators terming out in 2016. These women are often leaders in legislation on fair pay, child education and care, poverty reduction, and many other equal employment and family support issues.

Studies have shown that many talented and qualified women will not run for office without being asked, so close the gap CA?seeks to recruit those talented women and inform them about what it takes to run for state legislature.?
