This year we have an amazing panel focusing on the intersection of women leadership in social justice movement. Our panel includes:

  • Alison Crossley
    • Alison Crossley, PhD is the Associate Director of Stanford’s Clayman Institute for Gender Research. Alison’s areas of scholarly expertise include gender, social movements, and feminism. She has recently completed her book manuscript “Finding Feminism: Millennial Activists and the Unfinished Gender Revolution,” and has published writing about women’s movements, online feminism, and social movement continuity.
  • Lateefah Simon 
    • Lateefah Simon is program director for the Rosenberg Foundation, which seeks to change the odds for Californians through statewide grantmaking to support policy change. Lateefah is a longtime advocate for low-income young women and girls and for juvenile and criminal justice reform.

      An avid speaker, Ms. Simon lectures across the country at top conferences and top universities. She has served on numerous boards of directors and has received awards for her efforts, including the MacArthur “Genius” Fellowship. In 2016 Ms. Simon was named as one of The Chronicle of Philanthropy’s 40 under 40: Young Nonprofit Leaders, and was appointed by the Governor of California to the CSU Trustees.

  • Clarissa Martnez-De-Castro
    • Clarissa Martnez-De-Castro is passionate about strengthening civil society. As Deputy Vice President at the National Council of La Raza (NCLR), the largest Latino civil rights and advocacy organization in the U.S, she leads the organization??s work to advance fair and effective immigration policies, and efforts to expand Latino civic engagement by helping immigrants become citizens, citizens become voters, and the community overall become advocates in issue campaigns at the federal and state levels.
