AAUW Palo Alto facilitates a Science Club with the Palo Alto Girls Scouts. This Science Club meets six times a year from late October to March. Professionals from scientific and technical fields present a workshop each month. AAUW volunteers organize the meetings, provide refreshments and help as needed.
The February session was led by Matt Brocchini of TinkeringLabs and Pam Rino Evans of the Bowman International School. Matt brought “Catalyst” building kits for the Juniors to build either a motor driven car or pen robot that drew circles on a large sheet of paper The girls were all successful in building their devices and really enjoyed building the devices.
